The website for a family olive mill in Boeotia

Kadmus is our founder’s family olive mill in Xironomi, Boeotia. We built its new website in four languages, for customers in Greece and buyers abroad.

A mill with its own brand

The Kadmus mill has its own olive oil brand, Mount Helikon, and bottles oil for other brands. Its new website runs at kadmus-gr.netlify.app.

The old site was in English only

When we started, the old site at kadmus.gr was in English only. Yet the two main markets for Kadmus are Greek producers and buyers in Germany.

It used phrases such as “cold-pressed” and “zero-waste”, which EU rules do not allow for this oil. And it tracked no inquiries, so nobody knew how many it had brought in.

Four languages and a claims check

About 15 pages in each of four languages: English, Greek, German and Arabic. The Arabic pages read from right to left and have their own fonts. The pages cover the mill, Mount Helikon, bottling for other brands and trade buyers.

Three automated checks run before every deploy and stop it if any one fails: the claims check, the link check and the check for the move to kadmus.gr.

The claims check reads every page, including the data for search engines, and stops the deploy if it finds a phrase that is not allowed for this product. For example, Regulation (EU) 2022/2104 reserves “first cold pressing” for oil from hydraulic presses, and Kadmus runs a centrifugal line.

Every claim goes through a register first, and every family decision about the text is recorded word for word, with its date.

Hosting is free

It runs on Netlify’s free plan (checked 2 October 2026). No language model runs on the site, so there is no usage charge. The three checks run inside the deploy, at no charge of their own.

Checked before every update

Every update goes through the claims check and the link check. On 14 September 2026 all 60 pages and all 2,431 links passed.
